A few useful answers.
How are default duration and time remaining different?
Default duration is the saved length used whenever you restart. Time remaining belongs to the current run. For example, you can resume a timer at 40 minutes today and keep a one-hour default for the next restart.
How do I adjust only the current run?
Edit a running or paused timer and choose Adjust time remaining. Select a duration, then choose Apply to Current Timer or Apply & Resume. This saves your editor changes and starts the countdown from the selected remaining time.
What does Save do?
Save updates the label and default duration without resetting an existing countdown or paused remainder. For a new timer, Save creates it without starting it; Save & Start starts it immediately.
What do Pause, Restart, and Finish do?
Pause freezes the time remaining; time spent paused is not deducted. Resume continues from that frozen value. Restart starts again at the default duration. Finish cancels the current timer alert and moves the timer to Finished.
Why didn't I hear an alert?
Check TimerDeck's Settings → Notifications & Sounds and open system notification settings. Allow notifications and sounds, and check device volume, silent mode, and Focus settings. Time Sensitive delivery also depends on your system preferences. TimerDeck uses local notifications while the app is closed; these are not guaranteed to override silent mode or Focus.
Does the timer need an internet connection?
The countdown and local timer notifications work without an internet connection. The app uses absolute firing dates to keep the time accurate across backgrounding and relaunch. Opening this website or sending support email requires a connection.
Where are my timers stored, and how do I remove them?
TimerDeck saves timers on your device. Delete individual timers from the list. Deleting the app, rather than offloading it, removes its local app data; copies in device backups are managed through your Apple backup settings. See the privacy policy for more details.
